Overview
The Salesforce integration connects DealOracle to your Salesforce CRM for lead and opportunity syncing with closed-loop attribution reporting. This is the gold standard for proving marketing ROI — connecting ad spend directly to pipeline revenue in your CRM.
What This Integration Does
- Push leads to Salesforce — Automatically create Lead or Contact records in Salesforce when new leads are captured in DealOracle.
- Sync disposition changes — As leads progress through your DealOracle pipeline, updates are reflected in Salesforce (e.g., Lead Status, Opportunity Stage).
- Opportunity tracking — When a deal is created or closed in Salesforce, the outcome syncs back to DealOracle for ad platform conversion reporting.
- Closed-loop reporting — See exactly which ad campaigns, keywords, and creatives generated revenue — not just leads.
Why Closed-Loop Attribution Matters
Most marketers can tell you which campaigns generate leads. With the Salesforce integration, you can tell which campaigns generate revenue. This transforms your ad optimization from "cost per lead" to "cost per closed deal" — a fundamentally different (and better) way to allocate budget.
Prerequisites
Before connecting Salesforce, ensure you have:
- Salesforce edition with API access — Enterprise, Unlimited, or Performance editions include API access. Professional edition requires the API add-on.
- Connected app setup (optional) — DealOracle's OAuth flow handles this automatically, but if your Salesforce org requires pre-approved connected apps, ask your Salesforce admin to allowlist DealOracle.
- System Administrator or appropriate profile — The user authorizing the connection needs permission to create/edit Leads, Contacts, and Opportunities.
- Lead and Opportunity fields — Identify which standard and custom fields you want to sync between DealOracle and Salesforce.
Salesforce Edition Compatibility
| Salesforce Edition | API Access | Compatible |
|---|---|---|
| Essentials | No | Not supported |
| Professional | Add-on required | Yes (with API add-on) |
| Enterprise | Included | Yes |
| Unlimited | Included | Yes |
| Performance | Included | Yes |
Note: If you're on Salesforce Professional without the API add-on, contact your Salesforce account executive about enabling API access.

Tip: If your org uses a custom domain (e.g.,
yourcompany.my.salesforce.com), DealOracle will detect it automatically.
Step 3: Map Lead/Contact Fields
After authorization, configure how DealOracle fields map to Salesforce:
Standard field mapping (auto-configured):
- First Name →
FirstName - Last Name →
LastName - Email →
Email - Phone →

Custom field mapping:
- Map any DealOracle field to a Salesforce custom field
- UTM parameters → custom text fields
- Ad platform data → custom text fields

- Opportunity creation — Automatically create an Opportunity when a lead reaches a specific disposition (e.g., "Opportunity Created")
- Stage mapping — Map DealOracle dispositions to Salesforce Opportunity stages
- Amount syncing — Sync deal values between platforms
- Close date — Set the expected close date based on your average sales cycle
Step 5: Test and Activate

- Custom fields are populated
Then toggle Auto-Sync to activate the integration.
Sync Configuration
Lead vs. Contact Creation Rules
DealOracle supports two approaches for creating records in Salesforce:
Option 1: Always create Leads (recommended for most users)
- New records are created as Leads in Salesforce
- When a Lead is converted in Salesforce, DealOracle tracks the resulting Contact and Opportunity
- Best for organizations that use Salesforce's built-in Lead conversion process
Option 2: Create Contacts directly
- New records are created as Contacts (with an associated Account)
- Best for organizations that skip the Lead object entirely
- Requires an Account matching rule (match by company name or create new)
Opportunity Stage Mapping
| DealOracle Disposition | Salesforce Opportunity Stage |
|---|---|
| Opportunity Created | Prospecting |
| Discovery Call | Qualification |
| Proposal Sent | Proposal/Price Quote |
| Negotiation | Negotiation/Review |
| Closed Won | Closed Won |
| Closed Lost | Closed Lost |
You can customize this mapping to match your Salesforce opportunity stages.
Custom Field Support
DealOracle can sync data to any custom field in Salesforce. Common custom fields include:
UTM_Source__c— The traffic source (google, facebook, etc.)UTM_Medium__c— The marketing medium (cpc, social, email)UTM_Campaign__c— The campaign nameGCLID__c— Google Click ID for attributionFBCLID__c— Facebook Click IDLead_Score__c— DealOracle's calculated lead scoreAd_Source__c— Which ad platform the lead came from
Sync Direction and Frequency
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Direction | Bi-directional, DealOracle → SF only, SF → DealOracle only |
| Frequency | Real-time, every 5 min, every 15 min |
| Conflict resolution | Last-write-wins, Salesforce priority, DealOracle priority |
Duplicate Detection
DealOracle respects Salesforce's built-in duplicate rules. Before creating a new Lead or Contact:
- Check for existing records by email
- Check for existing records by phone (if email not found)
- If a match is found, update the existing record instead of creating a duplicate
- If no match, create a new record
You can configure DealOracle to use Salesforce's Duplicate Management rules for more sophisticated matching.
